About
Helena is a well trusted interpreter of choice who has received numerous accolades from the judiciary and other professionals for her professional input.
She has a vast experience in Criminal and Family Law, Employment, Immigration, Social Security and Mental Health Tribunals, Personal Injury, Professional Negligence, Sports Law, Property Law, Commercial Law, Educational Law, but also in less common areas of Competition, Anti Trust and Cartel Law, Art and Intellectual Property, and Property Law; she has a long standing experience working for a wide variety of government services, police, educational setting, businesses, and a charity sector.
The marriage of her skills and qualifications enabled her to work for magic law firms on multi-jurisdictional cases in specialist areas of law. Her experience therefore ranges from Magistrates Court to International Court of Justice and International Court of Human Rights. She has also interpreted for multi-jurisdictional police conferences.
Helena is available to travel abroad.
Apart from the legal field, Helena has experience in sub titling Disney movies, and transcription (medical and pharmaceutical research).
Helena prides herself on striving for the best professional standards.
Her wider background is in public speaking, education, economics, accountancy, and creative industries. She served as a Trustee and Safeguarding Governess at Czech School and Charity Manchester for many years, Safeguarding Governess at a nursery school in Stockport and is still a trusted advisor to the Slovak School and Charity Manchester.
Helena is a keen sportswoman (running, tennis and most racket sports, triathlon, gymnastics ) and has taken part in legal debates, and competition moots involving sport sponsorship negotiations. Helena’s sports experience translates well and gives her insight in her assignments involving various sports (tennis, anti-doping training)
Another string to her bow which offers insight into another area of interpreting is art. Helena set up Everyman Art Gallery where she promotes art, education, mental health, and cultural exchange. Helena is a keen supporter of upholding professional standards for interpreters by being a member of NRPSI & CIOL. She is also a member of Inner Temple (Advocacy).
